8月10日，湖南长沙，网传有顾客在小菜园新徽菜用餐盘喂狗，引发热议。
视频画面显示，一名女顾客携带白色犬在就餐区，使用店内公用餐具盛放食物喂狗，食物散落地面，途经工作人员未及时制止。
A customer was filmed using communal tableware to feed a pet dog at a Xiaocaiyuan restaurant in Changsha, Hunan province, sparking concerns over dining hygiene.
Footage circulating online on Monday showed a woman feeding a white dog food from restaurant tableware, with some food falling onto the floor. Staff passing by did not intervene immediately.

涉事门店工作人员回应，店内明确禁止使用餐具投喂宠物，该顾客到店时工作人员已告知相关规定，对方当时应允。事发时服务人员未能及时留意现场情况，未第一时间劝阻。目前门店已将涉事骨碟统一收纳并集中销毁，店内全部餐具将全面消杀，属地市场监管部门将到店现场监查。
The restaurant said customers are prohibited from using tableware to feed pets and that staff had informed the customer of the rule upon her arrival. It said the dish used in the incident had been collected and would be destroyed, while all tableware would undergo comprehensive disinfection. Local market regulators will also conduct an on-site inspection.
8月11日，“小菜园新徽菜”官方账号发布关于小菜园长沙岳麓王府井店顾客用餐盘投喂宠物狗的情况说明。
声明称，对于8月10日在长沙岳麓王府井店涉事时间段用餐的所有顾客，全部退还当餐餐费，并进行十倍餐费补偿。
On Tuesday, Xiaocaiyuan said all customers who dined at the branch during the period in question would receive a full refund and compensation equal to 10 times their meal cost.
据此前报道，海底捞、西贝等餐饮品牌也曾因宠物狗用餐事件受到质疑。多起顾客在饭店用餐盘、铁签喂狗的事件曾引发争议。
今年5月21日，一段宠物狗在海底捞门店吃蛋糕的视频，引发大量关注。视频显示，有网友带小狗到海底捞就餐，小狗在餐位上舔食餐盘上的蛋糕。5月26日，海底捞发布关于携宠就餐的相关说明称，综合各方意见之后，公司决定停止该项试点，三家试点门店即日起均不再提供线下携宠接待服务。
去年9月，西贝餐厅曾被曝出有顾客直接用餐厅提供的筷子夹菜喂狗。涉事顾客使用过的筷子、餐具、桌布等已被全部丢弃。同时，当天夜间对餐厅前厅、厨房的所有餐具、厨具进行了全面消杀。
Similar incidents have drawn attention before. In May, Haidilao ended a trial allowing pets at three branches after a video showed a dog eating cake from a restaurant plate. Last September, Xibei said it had discarded tableware used by a customer to feed a dog and carried out comprehensive disinfection.
“宠物狗上桌就餐”的问题，引发许多网友对于餐饮安全的担忧。
中青评论此前发文称，养宠者的爱宠之心值得理解。但越是爱宠，养宠者越要意识到：可持续的宠物友好环境，不能建立在让别人“忍一忍”的基础上。如果公共空间中的秩序与边界在宠物入场时得不到有效维护，最终引发的很可能是公众的反感，以及更严苛、更保守的管理手段。到那时，受影响的并不只是少数行为失范者，也包括原本文明养宠的人。
真正意义上的宠物友好，不只是“允许宠物进入”而已，还意味着规则、责任和边界。只有厘清这些内容，养宠者、经营者和其他人之间，才可能形成彼此信任、和谐共处的关系。
The incidents have prompted debate over how pets should be accommodated in public dining spaces. China Youth Daily noted that pet-friendly environments require clear rules, responsibilities and boundaries, rather than asking others to simply "put up with it".
