Recently, a group of American exchange students came to the livestreaming base of Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center in Minhang District and took a livestream selling class, which really excited them.
A group of 19 students from Northern Illinois University and the University of Illinois Springfield recently took their first steps into the exciting world of e-commerce by livestreaming and selling goods at Hongqiao 365 in Shanghai.
Why did these students have this opportunity to come to China to study e-commerce? It's thanks to the practical platform of school-enterprise cooperation. This precious opportunity was jointly created by Hongqiao 365 and Shanghai Dianji University.
Hongqiao 365 Livestreaming Base Visiting Teacher Shen Wei said:“When designing the course, we specifically included some points for attention as well as some of our sales scripts. During the livestreaming period, we first introduced them to the general logic of livestreaming. Then we also took them to the green screen livestreaming studio and conducted some drills. In the end, the result was that they all fell in love with livestreaming. "
“I know a little about livestreaming from TikTok." One of the American exchange students Celeste Mays said:“I would see it when I scrolled through and saw the livestreams. But it's not as big (in the United States). This business model would be useful in America to have something and have it quick and sell it quickly and receive it quickly. Our shipping time is about 48 hours, even maybe two weeks. So getting something in two hours would be amazing in America. We would like it."
Although their learning experience was rather short, e-commerce livestreaming, a form that is still quite novel in the United States, has opened up a new horizon for them and also lit up new possibilities for their career choices and development.

近日,虹桥品汇迎来了一群来自美国北伊利诺伊大学和伊利诺伊大学春田分校的大学生们,在这里,他们开启他们人生第一次的直播带货新体验。
这些学生为什么会来中国学习电商?这得益于校企合作的实践平台,这次就是由虹桥品汇和上海电机学院共同合作得来的宝贵机会。
虹桥品汇直播基地讲师沈巍表示:“我们在设计课程的时候,特意把一些要点、话术加入进去,我们向学生们介绍了直播大概的逻辑,也带着他们去绿幕直播间,做了一些演练,他们都很喜欢直播。”
“我从视频平台上对直播有一点了解,”美国交流学生塞莱斯特·梅斯告诉记者:“我在浏览时会看到直播的内容,但它(在美国)规模没那么大,这种商业模式在美国会很有用,看上的好物很快就能拿到手,很快地进行买卖,我们的送货时间大概是48小时,甚至可能要两周,所以在美国能在两小时内收到东西会很惊人,我们会喜欢的。”
他们的学习经历虽然很短暂,但电商直播,这种在美国仍旧十分新颖的形式,却为他们打开了新视界,也为他们的择业发展点亮了新可能性。
