8月21日，北京大学教师韦东奕在B站更新动态，并在“小店”上新一本小学数学解题能力练习册。当日晚，北京大学回应媒体记者，该账号确认为韦东奕本人的账号。
Wei Dongyi, an associate professor in mathematics at Peking University, posted his first update in a year on the Chinese video platform Bilibili and began selling math workbooks through his account's online store. Wei's post has sparked a wave of fan engagement.
据悉，这条新动态离韦东奕去年开号时隔一年时间，内容为“一道有趣的题”，其中列举数道数学题目并给出解法。视频当中，韦东奕并未出镜或配音。弹幕及评论区里，网友们纷纷列出自己对上述数学题目的作答过程。
The post, titled "An interesting problem", included several math questions with solutions. Wei did not appear on camera. Netizens flooded the comments with their own answers.
此外，该账号小店上架了两本练习册，分别为韦东奕主编的小学数学解题能力训练练习册和初中数学解题能力训练练习册，售价分别为39.8元和49.8元。
Two workbooks authored by Wei are now listed in his store: one for primary school math problem-solving (39.8 yuan) and another for junior high school level (49.8 yuan).
另有媒体记者从韦东奕亲属处得知，该社媒账号是韦东奕的，视频是他本人发布的，书也是韦东奕自己主编的。
值得一提的是，韦东奕的抖音账号尚未更新，小红书账号则只更新了同一条视频，未上架该练习册。
Peking University confirmed to reporters that the account belongs to Wei. A relative also verified that both the video and the books were posted and authored by him personally. His Douyin account remains inactive, while his Xiaohongshu account has only shared the same video without offering the workbooks.
据公开资料，韦东奕，1991年出生于山东济南，浙江东阳人，北京大学副教授，北京大学数学科学学院数学系微分方程教研室研究员。
初中二年级时，韦东奕提前加入山东师范大学附属中学奥数训练队。2007年升入山东师范大学附属中学；2008年、2009年分别参加第49届、第50届国际数学奥林匹克竞赛，均以满分获得金牌；2010年被保送至北京大学就读；2014年本科毕业后在北京大学硕博连读；2017年12月—2019年11月，在北京国际数学研究中心从事博士后研究工作。2018年博士毕业后在北京国际数学研究中心从事博士后研究工作；2019年被聘为北京大学助理教授；2021年获得达摩院青橙奖。
韦东奕主要研究领域是偏微分方程、几何分析等。韦东奕在三维纳维一斯托克斯方程（Navier-Stokes）正则性问题和二维不可压缩欧拉方程的线性阻尼问题上，取得了一系列重要研究进展。他还与人合作在随机矩阵理论研究中取得重大成果。2020年，韦东奕与北京国际数学研究中心助理教授杨诗武合作，用新的向量场作为乘子来研究散焦半线性波方程解的长时间衰减行为，改进了现有的结果并得到了低维情形解的逐点衰减估计，特别地解决了陶哲轩等人在10年前提出的一维情形解逐点衰减的猜想。曾先后获得北京大学数学学院优秀院友、国家奖学金、北大青年博雅学者等荣誉。
北京大学数学科学学院网站信息显示，从2026年2月起，该院教师韦东奕正式获聘北京大学长聘副教授。
Born in 1991, Wei won IMO gold medals with perfect scores in 2008 and 2009. He studied at Peking University from bachelor's through PhD, did postdoctoral research, became an assistant professor in 2019, and was promoted to tenured associate professor in 2026. His research focuses on partial differential equations and geometric analysis.
