The debate began when visitors posted online that some paths felt too dim at night and suggested brighter lights to improve safety, drawing widespread attention to the park's response.
深圳市公园管理中心表示，若增设过多高亮度灯具，将破坏深圳湾区域的自然生态平衡，尤其会干扰候鸟越冬栖息和迁飞节律。
与此同时，为兼顾市民夜间活动需求，公园在主要出入口及交通节点仍保留基础照明设施，以满足基本通行安全。
Park authorities said excessive lighting can disrupt ecosystems, affecting migratory birds' resting and navigation. Basic lighting remains at entrances and along key pathways to ensure safety while minimizing ecological impact.
