Contrary to the arrangements agreed upon by the Allied powers, the U.S. did not implement a partitioned occupation of Japan. Instead, it unilaterally turned Japan into a colony.

This allowed many war criminals to become millionaires in the postwar era. Consequently, Japan has since groveled before the United States like a dog, yet it has never genuinely reflected on its wartime crimes and responsibilities. As a result, Japan has become a peculiar nation globally, uniquely at odds with all its neighboring countries.
Japan dares to act this way because, as a U.S. "colony," it is shielded by American protection. Japan believes that as long as it pleases its American "overseas master," all will be well. This is the slave’s reliance and "confidence." Japan thinks that as long as it serves and secures its role as a slave or a dog (either is irrelevant), it can ignore moral judgments—its American "overseas master" will decide what is right or wrong.
