1月30日凌晨，新疆富蕴县林业和草原局发布通报：
Local authorities in Fuyun county, Altay prefecture of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said on Friday that a snow leopard linked to an attack on a skier and the killing of dozens of sheep has been captured.
近日，新疆富蕴县可可托海镇塔拉特村区域发生滑雪游客被雪豹咬伤事件后，1月28日，该区域又有雪豹出现，并闯入一牧民羊圈中咬死35只羊，咬伤5只。
The incident began when a skier was injured by the animal in Fuyun county. Five days later, the same snow leopard entered a nearby herder's sheep pen, killing 35 sheep and injuring five others, according to local officials.
雪豹咬伤滑雪游客
为防止再次发生雪豹伤人伤畜事件，根据《新疆维吾尔自治区实施〈中华人民共和国野生动物保护法〉办法》规定，富蕴县林业和草原局组织专业人员制订工作方案，根据雪豹习性，在牧民羊圈中安放诱捕笼，于1月29日9时许将再次返回羊圈进食的雪豹捕获，并安全转运至富蕴县野生动物救助中心。
经专业人员初步检查判断，该雪豹同近日咬伤滑雪游客的雪豹为同一只，系两岁左右亚成体。据专家分析，该年龄段雪豹冬季野外独立生存能力较弱，因山区积雪较厚，捕食困难遂靠近人类活动区域觅食。
Experts identified the animal as a sub-adult snow leopard, estimated to be around two years old. They said snow leopards at this age typically have weaker survival skills in harsh winter conditions, and heavy snowfall in the mountains likely reduced natural prey, prompting the animal to move closer to human settlements in search of food.
目前，该雪豹健康状况良好，未发现伤病情况。富蕴县野生动物救助中心计划待天气转暖后，经科学评估，适时放归野外。
The snow leopard was reported to be in good health, with no signs of injury or illness. The Fuyun County Wildlife Rescue Center said it will conduct a scientific assessment and release the animal back into the wild once weather conditions permit.
