As far as I am concerned, requiring art lessons in high schools is anill-advisedsuggestion.Regardless ofhow vital art education is for kids' futures, students who are reluctant to major in art in college should notbe compelled totake art classes. Doing so is usually seen asfruitlessto them and an unproductive use of time and energy. The primary aim of high school education is to prepare learners fortertiaryeducation which allows students tobe equipped withknowledge in different academic subjects such as English, maths and physics, but art lessons make no difference in their university admission exam for a solid majority of students. Consequently, high school is not theoptimaltime for them toallot heaps oftime to arts,notwithstandingthe immense effect art education may have on one's life.
