The future park is the city's new cultural tourism business card, no city no cultural tourism, no cultural tourism no immersion, no immersion no night economy. In recent years, more than 65% of the tourists who participated in the consumption of urban parks chose to combine "punching park", "dining and shopping, and parent-child entertainment". A cup of coffee, an outdoor art exhibition, is becoming the first choice for people to release stress. Behind this is the rise of the "park economy" and a new model of public-private cooperation. Japan's Park-PFI model provides a good reference for us. By relaxing the park plot ratio from 3% to 12% and extending the period of operation of enterprises from 10 years to 20 years, the government has unleashed commercial vitality and introduced more quality facilities to the park. Commerce and nature blend here: open dining, cultural and creative markets, and immersive experience museums have become reasons for tourists to stay and spend.

From the perspective of consumer psychology, modern people crave "compound experience" : that is, there is culture in nature and there is story in shopping. The more unique the consumption scene, the more it can impress users. Yoyogi Park in Tokyo's Shibuya district, for example, increased the average visitor stay by 40% through the introduction of highly open cafes and interactive installations, which directly doubled the revenue of surrounding businesses. For the government, the Park-PFI model not only revitalizes the finance, but also promotes the green transformation of the city. Through policy guidance, the government allows enterprises to undertake the repair and operation of the park, social capital feeds back public interests, and achieves a win-win situation of ecological benefits and economic benefits.

Wang Wei said: a realm of its own Gao Ge. What is the style of the building? It is a balance between "moving" and "static", a dialogue from complex to simple. Leaving the white, borrowing the scene, the scene, and the scene, these techniques are more like people and space looking at each other, moving the scene, like a landscape-rolling curtain that makes people stop. Design is not piling complex elements, but using simplicity to outline emotions, using lines to show stories, using light and shadow to tell the temperature. When the light through the canopy, leaving the gentle dawn; When the texture of the wood is touched by the hand, the breath of history flows in the fingertips; When a place is left blank and the noise is contained by nature... Style becomes a "silent language" that cannot be seen but can be felt. Design is an attitude towards life. A good space, like a tailored work of art, meets the needs and allows the soul to belong.

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

On May 21, 2021, MNLA and Arup announced the opening of Little Island, a 2.4-acre mixed-use urban park and performance space located above the Hudson River in New York City. As part of the Hudson River Park, the Island was created by London design Studio Heatherwick Studio in collaboration with New York-based landscape architecture firm MNLA. After eight years of planning, development and construction, the completion of the "island" marks the culmination of this ambitious project.

The design of Little Island is inspired by the wooden piles that have been submerged in seawater all year round by the docks. The design team at Heatherwick Studio wanted to create a "floating" park on the Hudson River, incorporating marina features. This park is held up by numerous jagged "stakes", like the sea undulations, such as the island shape held up by blossoming water hibiscus, so that the whole park shape is integrated into the dock scenery. Thanks to the natural resources of the Hudson River, Little Island has 35 species of trees, 65 species of shrubs, and 290 species of grasses, vines, and perennials. An oasis outside the jungle of cement.

INTERIOR AESTHETICS

Arup's team of civil and structural engineers worked with the MNLA design team to create a highly integrated stormwater management system for the Little Island project. The system transforms the Marine Park into a giant "green sponge", cleverly integrating various green infrastructure elements into the park landscape and plaza facilities, giving the entire park the function of water retention and storage. Stormwater runoff, once captured by water retention facilities on the surface, is discharged back into the Hudson River through a filtration system

The engineers cleverly broke the design down into 132 units, each topped by a concrete prefabricated basin structure supported by a large prefabricated concrete column that was driven 200 feet into the seabed rock. This 2.4-acre urban oasis sits peacefully on the docks of the Hudson River in New York City, providing residents with a mix of music, dance, theater, public art and natural landscapes, as well as becoming one of New York's many iconic landmarks.
