毕业礼物是钻石，这是一种什么样的体验？

北京科技大学新材料技术研究院碳基材料与功能薄膜研究室2024届的毕业生们有发言权。6月18日，他们每人都获得了两枚钻石戒指。

As graduating students prepare to move on from campus life, many universities have carefully prepared creative commemorative gifts to imbue them with hope and blessings. Among the unique presents, one from the University of Science and Technology Beijing stands out. This year, every graduate from the university's carbon-based materials and functional thin film research laboratory received a diamond ring.

白金戒圈上，镶有一黑一白两颗钻石，黑钻0.5克拉，白钻0.5克拉。

The platinum ring is set with two diamonds, a 0.5-carat black diamond and a 0.5-carat white diamond.

北京科技大学介绍，这些钻石是北京科技大学碳基材料与功能薄膜研究室自主研发的。研究室首席教授李成明团队率先在国内拓展金刚石多晶和单晶电子学的研究，使得金刚石膜热学应用达到国际领先水平，推动了CVD金刚石自支撑膜的工业化应用。

According to the university, the lab that developed the diamonds was the first in China to expand research on the thermal application of diamond film. Diamonds possess excellent thermal conductivity, insulation and radiation resistance, making them an ideal material for manufacturing high-performance electronic devices.

金刚石是钻石的原石，它是自然界中天然存在的最坚硬的物质。为毕业生们送上这份礼物，大有深意。李成明教授说：“希望每位毕业生都能像钻石一样，承受住未来的一切压力，一直坚强刚毅、璀璨夺目！”

"I hope that every graduate can withstand all the pressures in their future lives just like a diamond, remaining strong, resolute and dazzling!" Professor Li Chengming said.
