刘蓉是青岛五十八中的学生，今年高考成绩693分，语数英都是136分，总分排在全省第84名。她表示平时成绩没这么好，但是高考发挥得很好，打算报考北大医学专业。
"When I saw the Beijing phone number, I felt very nervous. I answered, and the person on the line said, 'Hello, I'm from Peking University,'" Liu Rong recalled the moment she received the call from Peking University in an interview. Liu, a student from Qingdao No. 58 High School, scored 693 points in this year's college entrance exam, with 136 points in each of Chinese, Math, and English, ranking 84th in the province. She mentioned that her usual grades weren't this good, but she performed well in the exam and plans to apply for the medical program at Peking University.
