当了10年公务员，突然有一天，他出家了！
身高近1米9的释明心，正应了那句，陌上人如玉，公子世无双。俊俏的外表让他被评为“中国最帅和尚”，原本冷冷清清的普安寺也因他而一炮而红，香客络绎不绝，门庭若市。
世俗女子为之动心， 更夸张的是 ，有富婆想和他交往，甚至要买400万的豪车相赠。有人断言，他一定会还俗。但释明心却斩钉截铁地说，“我下定决心的事情，谁也改变不了。”

讲解：这几个词都是基于佛陀 Buddha 衍生出来的，佛陀 Buddha，佛教Buddhism，佛教徒 Buddhist。
例句1：Buddhismis a religion based on the teachings of theBuddha, andBuddhistsare people who follow the teachings of theBuddha.
佛教是基于佛陀教义的宗教信仰，佛教徒是追随佛陀教导的人。
例句2：Buddhistsbelieve that human life is suffering.

monk /mʌŋk/ 和尚
nun /nʌn/ 尼姑
讲解：A monk is a member of an all-male religious group that lives apart from other people in a monastery. A nun is a member of a group of religious women that live together in a convent.
例句1：Monksandnunsare responsible for the preservation and dissemination of the Buddha's teaching.
和尚和尼姑负责保存和传播佛陀的教诲。
例句2：With broad shoulders and deep-set eyes, Master Shi Mingxin is known by netizens as "the most handsomemonk" in China.

convert /kənˈvɜːt/ 转化
convert /ˈkɒnvɜːt/ 皈依宗教者，改变信仰者
convert to 皈依，改信（宗教）
讲解：convert to 本身是“转化成为”的意思，那后面加上宗教信仰的时候，就表示皈依，或者开始信奉一个新的宗教的意思。The phrase "convert to" means to change one's religious faith or other belief. 当 convert 作名词的时候，重音的位置会发生改变，从/kənˈvɜːt/变为/ˈkɒnvɜːt/，表示皈依宗教的人或者改变信仰的人。
例句1：He made up his mind toconvert toBuddhism.
他下定决心要皈依佛门。
例句2：She has recentlyconverted toChristianity.
她最近改信了基督教。

monastic /məˈnæstɪk/ 僧侣的，出家的
monastery /ˈmɒnəstri/ 和尚、僧侣居住的寺院
讲解：monastic 意思是僧侣的，出家的，relating to monks or life in a monastery，也可以引申一下，用来形容一种和僧人一样的，宁静简朴的，清修的或者禁欲的生活方式。monastery 就是和尚、僧侣居住的寺院，a place where monks live。
例句1：Destiny ties me with Buddha, and themonasticlife is the best choice for me.
我与佛有缘，而修行出家就是我最好的归宿。
例句2：He led a rathermonasticlifestyle.
他过着很简朴的生活。

讲解：abbot，住持，也就是负责主持一个寺庙事务的人，an abbot is a man who is in charge of a monastery。

从中国佛学院毕业后，释明心回到了家乡的普安寺当住持。
