lay off v. 裁员
例句1：The company justlaid offabout 95% of its staff.
公司刚刚解雇了大约95%的员工。
例句2：Many other enterprises also had left with no choice but tolay offtheir staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
在新冠病毒爆发期间，许多企业别无选择，只能裁员。

cut jobs/staff /stæf/ 裁员
例句：The international company justcut its jobs/stafffor cost-saving.
这家跨国公司刚刚为了节省成本而裁员

fire /ˈfaɪər/ sack/sæk/ 解雇
例句1：To“fire” or”sack”someone，it is usually because they have done something wrong or badly. If you always procrastinate your work or have low working efficiency, you might get fired or sacked.
“fire”或“sack”某人，通常是因为他们做了错事或坏事。如果你总是拖延你的工作或工作效率低，你可能会被解雇或解雇。

Furloughoriginally was used to in military, meaning to be absent from service for acertain time with the officer's agreement.

例句：If yougo on a furlough, you can keep the job in the company, but you won't be paid during this period.
如果你暂时休假，你可以继续在公司工作，但这段时间你不会有工资。
