On Friday, envoys from small island nations threatened by rising sea levels said their land was fast disappearing.
The conference president, Alok Sharma, urged an injection of "can-do spirit".

Fans had gathered outside the LA court to support Spears, who had described the guardianship as abusive.

Former Trump strategist Steve Bannon has been charged with contempt of Congress after refusing to give evidence about the US Capitol riot.
He was summoned to testify on what he knew about plans for the protest that ended with the storming of Congress.
The House of Representatives voted last month to send the case to the justice department, which opted on Friday to prosecute Mr Bannon, 67.
He could face up to a year in prison and a $100,000 (£74,500) fine.

A North Carolina man wrongly convicted of murder and imprisoned for 26 years has been granted a full pardon by the governor.
Dontae Sharpe had fought to prove his innocence since his 1994 arrest. He was released from prison in August 2019.
"My family's name has been cleared," he told reporters on Friday. "It's a burden off of my shoulders and my family's shoulders."
The news follows a BBC documentary on the miscarriage of justice in his case.
