第十一节代词 特殊代词it的用法
一、为什么说it是特殊代词
它可以表示天气、时间、距离，也可以表示某一状况，还可以表示假主语，可以代替一件事。
二、表示天气、时间、距离
1、表示天气
Itis getting colder and colder in Jilin.
吉林的天气正变得越来越冷。
Itsnows here in winter.
冬天这里下雪。
2、表示时间
It’s nine o’clock.
现在是9点整。
It’s Sunday morning.
现在是星期天早上。
3、表示距离
It’s 1500 meters from my house to my school.
从我家到学校距离是1500米。
It’s only 3 kilometers from the bank of the lake to my house.
从湖畔到我家只有3公里的距离。
三、表示某一状况
Who called you just now?
刚才谁给你打电话了？
I thinkitmay be Fangce.
我想应该是方策。
So, who knocked at the front door this morning?
那么，今天上午是谁敲的门呢？
I thinkitwas Fangce, too.
我想也是方策。
注：此种情形往往都是说话者和听话者均能了解的特定情况。
四、表示假主语，可以代替一件事。
It’s not too difficult for pupils to learn English.
对小学生来说，学习英语并不是一件难事。
It’s important that you should tell the court truth.
你应该告诉法庭真相，这很重要。
Itis no use crying over spilt milk.
在洒掉的牛奶上哭是没有用的。（覆水难收）
注：英语忌讳“头重脚轻”
例如：
It’s important that you should tell the court truth.（正）
That you should tell the court truth is important.（误）
