近年来，“丧文化”，“佛系青年”在网络中走红。面对巨大的社会压力，现代青年更喜欢用不一样的姿态去面对，近段时间，新的网络词汇“躺平”“内卷”的爆火，再次对现代青年文化做出更深层次的解释。
《Economist》经济学人在最近的期刊中，介绍到了“内卷”“躺平”的词汇，让罐头菌带你们一起来看看吧。
Tangping describes a longing to escape the pressures of modern life in China, where young people are expected to work long hours, buy property, get married and have children. Many people in their 20s and 30s grumble that hard work no longer rewards them with a better quality of life.
当代中国青年总被寄予厚望要去努力工作，买房子，结婚生孩子，而“躺平”则是青年们想逃离这种生活的一种渴望。很多二三十岁的年轻人抱怨道：努力工作往往难以获得生活质量提升。
1.longing（long） 渴望
大家可能很熟悉long作为形容词表示“长的”，但却不知道，long其实作为动词还能表示“to want something very much”（渴望，想要），而这里的longing则是现在分词形式。例如你很想见你女朋友的时候，你就可以说：
I'm longing to meet her.
我很想见她。
2.to work long hours, buy property, get married and have children
努力去工作，买房，结婚生子
上面这段描写大家可以记一下，完全就是现代年轻人生活轨迹的描述的完全翻译。注意一下，这里的buy property很多人可能会直译为“买资产”，但其实，以我们对环境理解来看，这里直接翻译为“购房”会更加直接明了。
They have adopted an academic term, neijuan or “involution”, to describe how extra input no longer yields more output. Unlike their parents, who enjoyed a booming economy, they feel that society is stagnating and inequality growing.
他们引用了一个学术词汇“内卷”来描述：更多的付出并不能获得更多的回报。与上一代能享受经济快速发展所带来的红利不同，他们感觉到的是“停滞不前”与“不公平”。
1.involution 内卷
可以看到，内卷这词其实本来就出自国外，并不是网络独创的，我们可以用involution来表示。
involution与另一个词非常相似——evolution（进化）。我们都知道，我们所称的内卷，其实是指组织或者机构中的内部竞争淘汰，而相对的evolution（进化）则是指与外部环境竞争的淘汰，所以这两个词我们可以这样记：
involution 内卷（内部优胜劣汰）
evolution 进化（外部优胜劣汰）
2.yield 产出，收获
yield，表示“产出，收获”，经常能用于表示
Favourable weather yielded a good crop.
好天气能收获好的作物。
Other ways of expressing this mood have also become common. One is sang, or “dejected”: many young people now talk of the spread of a “sang culture” in China. They refer to “Buddhist youth”, meaning those who are never disappointed since they want nothing. Some young Chinesecall themselves chives, harvested or exploited by the firms. As they point out online, it is difficult to harvest chives when they are lying flat.
各种表达这种情绪的词汇已经成为了日常。其中之一就是“丧”（dejected）：在中国，很多年轻人称这种精神为“丧文化”。他们常提到“佛系青年”，意思是只要他们无欲无求，那么就永远不会失望。有些年轻人自称“韭菜”，常常被公司所压榨和收割。从他们网上的观点来看，只要他们躺平，那么他们就不会被收割。
这一段很好地描述了现在青年文化的观点，例如说“丧文化”，“佛系青年”，“韭菜”：
1.Buddhist youth 佛系青年
佛系青年，英语我们可以直接翻译为“Buddhist youth”。
People who identify as Buddhist youths yearn to be free of strong feelings.
人们自称佛系青年以表示对自由的强烈渴望。
2.chive 葱，韭菜
在中文里面，我们常自嘲“韭菜”是一个比喻型表达。chive在英语里面，能表示“葱”或者“韭菜”。
Sprinkle the fish with chopped or snipped chives.
在鱼上面撒上切碎或剪碎的葱。
3.lying flat 躺平
我们常说的躺平，可以直接翻译为“lying flat”。
Young chinese reject rat race, embrace ‘lying flat’.
中国年轻人拒绝竞争，拥抱“躺平”。
作为当代年轻人，罐头菌也是非常这一类“丧文化”。毕竟，罐头菌明天还要被迫回公司加班（T.T）！
