face the music
“face the music”直译为“面对音乐”，它也可以引申为“勇敢面对后果、承担责任”的意思。它来源于在以前歌剧表演时，演员们都是面对着坐在乐池中为他们伴奏的乐师们的。如果他们站在台上忘词了，那他们就只能尴尬的站在舞台上面对着乐师了。
