后天是明天的后一天，明天是 tomorrow，后天也就是 the day after tomorrow.
下下周也是同样的道理，我们也要翻译为下周的后一周，next next week 不符合英语的语法习惯，是中式英语。
next 指的是 next week，week一般会省略，而 after 表示在……之后，所以 the week after next 就是下一周的后一周，那可不就是下下周嘛。

下下个周一也可以说 Monday after next，下下个月就是 the month after next.

a month of Sundays 很久

month 差不多有30天，a month of Sundays 也就是30个周日，30个礼拜也是大半年的时间，所以 a month of Sundays 的意思是很久以后，常形容时间漫长。
在英语里，这个短语的否定形式 not in a month of Sundays 出现得更多，意思是某件事你再等多久都不会发生了，强调一件事情发生的可能性极低。

倒数第二别说 last second

因为倒数第二紧挨着倒数第一，next 又表示紧随其后的，last 是最后的，所以倒数第二可以说 the next to last.
除此之外，the second to last 和 the last but one 也是倒数第二。
the second to last 可以这么理解：
从后往前算的话，这是第二个，也就是倒数第二。倒数第三就是 the third to last，倒数第四就是 the fourth to last.
the last but one 可以这么理解：
要是没有另一个，这个就是倒数第一了，所以这个应该是倒数第二。
