陈奕迅是中国香港的知名流行歌手和影视演员。12岁的时候，刚上中学的他和哥哥得到了政府津贴来到了英国读书。后来大学时又在金斯顿大学修读建筑学，并且进修了四年正统音乐课程。
在英留学期间，陈奕迅还考得了英国皇家音乐学院声乐的八级，也就是业余最高级的证书，年轻时就展露出的音乐方面的天赋，也奠定了他后来在华语乐坛的超高地位。
2014年时，为了表彰陈奕迅音乐方面的成就，肯定他的音乐才能，金斯顿大学特意向他颁发荣誉学位，这让早年没能从金斯顿毕业的他欣喜若狂。早期的留学经历也使得陈奕迅练就了一口纯正的英音，不论是何时接受英文采访或者进行演讲，对于陈奕迅来说也是小菜一碟。

Uncle Siu:Tonight in this very special episode of Uncle Siu's bedtime story, we're going to read The Little Prince together. We're going to read two episodes, and I said it's a very special episode because... we have a very special guest with us!
萧叔叔：今晚，萧叔叔要带来一个非常特别的睡前小故事，我们将一起为大家朗读《小王子》。我们会分为上下两集，之所以说今晚的睡前故事"非常特别"，是因为我们有一位"非常特别"的嘉宾！
Uncle Siu:靓声届男神 Eason Chan.
萧叔叔：靓声届男神——陈奕迅。
Eason:With great pleasure.
陈奕迅：十分荣幸。
Uncle Siu:And the chapter we're going to read is about the Little Prince and the fox.
萧叔叔：我们今晚要朗读的选段是小王子和狐狸之间的经典对白。
Eason:I'm the Prince, here we go...Part One.
陈奕迅：我扮演小王子，开始吧...第1部分。
Eason:"Come and play with me, I am so unhappy."
陈奕迅："来和我一起玩吧! 我很苦恼..."
Uncle Siu:"I cannot play with you, I am not tamed."
萧叔叔："我不能和你一起玩，我还没有被驯服呢。"
Eason:"Ah! Please excuse me. But what does that mean 'tame'? "
陈奕迅："啊！真对不起，但'驯服'是什么意思呀？"
Uncle Siu:"It is an act too often neglected, It means to establish ties. "
萧叔叔："那是常常被人忽略的事情，它的意思是'建立联系'。"
Eason: "'To establish ties'?"
陈奕迅："建立联系?"
Uncle Siu: "Just that. To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world..."
萧叔叔："一点不错。对我来说，你只不过是个小男孩，就像其他千万个小男孩一样。我不需要你，你也同样用不着我；对你来说，我也不过是一只狐狸，就和其他千万只狐狸一样。但是，如果你驯服了我，我们就互相不可缺少了。对我来说，你就是全世界的唯一；对你来说，我也是全世界的唯一。"
Eason:"I am beginning to understand," said the little prince. "There is a flower... I think that she has tamed me..."
陈奕迅："我有点明白了，"小王子说，"有一朵花...我想，她把我驯服了。"
Uncle Siu:"If you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine on my life. I’ll know the sound of footsteps that will be different from all the rest. Other footsteps send me back underground. Yours will call me, out of my burrow, like music. And then look: you see the wheat fields over there? I don’t eat bread. For me wheat is of no use whatsoever. Wheat fields say nothing to me. "
萧叔叔："如果你驯服了我，我的生活就会充满阳光。我会辨认出一种与众不同的脚步声。其他人的脚步声，会让我躲进地下去，只有你的脚步声，如同音乐一般，会让我从洞里钻出来。再说，你看！你看见那边的麦田没有？我不吃面包，对我来说，麦子一点用处也没有。"
Uncle Siu:"Which is sad. But you have hair the colour of gold. So will be wonderful, once you’ve tamed me. The grain, which is golden, will remind me of you. And I’ll love the sound of the wind in the wheat..." The fox fell silent and stared at the little prince for a long time, "Please… tame me!"
萧叔叔："我对麦田无动于衷，而这真让人扫兴啊。可是你有着金黄色的头发，那么，一旦你驯服了我，这就会变得十分美妙。麦子是金黄色的，它会让我想起你。我甚至会喜欢上那风吹麦浪的声音…"狐狸沉默不语久久地看着小王子，"请你驯服我吧！"
Eason:"I want to, very much," the little prince replied. "But I have not much time. I have friends to discover, and a great many things to understand."
陈奕迅："我是很愿意的，"小王子回答道，"可我的时间不多了，我还要去寻找朋友，还有许多事物要了解。"
Eason:Part Two of the story between the Little Prince and the Fox。
陈奕迅：小王子和狐狸的经典对白，第2部分。
Eason:So the little prince tamed the fox. And when the hour of his departure drew near, the fox said,
陈奕迅：就这样，小王子驯养了狐狸。当出发的时刻就快到来的时候，狐狸说：
Uncle Siu:"I shall cry."
萧叔叔："我一定会哭的。"
Eason:"It is your own fault," said the little prince. "I never wished you any sort of harm; but you wanted me to tame you…"
陈奕迅："这都是你的错，"小王子说，"我并不想给你带来任何痛苦，可你却要我驯服你…"
Uncle Siu:"Yes, that is true."
萧叔叔："是的，没错。"
Eason:"But now you are going to cry!" said the little prince.
陈奕迅："你可就要哭了呢！”小王子说。
Uncle Siu:"Yes, that is true." said the fox.
萧叔叔："是的，没错。"狐狸说。
Eason:"Then it has done you no good at all!"
陈奕迅："那你还是什么都没得到呀！"
Uncle Siu:"It has done me good, because of the colour of the wheat fields. Go and look again at the roses. You will understand now that yours is unique in all the world. Then come back to say goodbye to me, and I will make you a present of a secret."
萧叔叔："我还是得到好处了。因为对我来说，麦田的颜色已经不一样了。再去看看那些玫瑰花吧！你一定会明白，你的那朵玫瑰才是全世界最独一无二的。等你回来和我告别时，我再赠送给你一个秘密。"
Eason:The little prince went away, to look again at the roses. "You are not at all like my rose," he said. "As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one. You are beautiful, but you are empty." And he went back to meet the fox. "Goodbye," he said.
陈奕迅：于是小王子又去看那些玫瑰。"你们一点也不像我的那朵玫瑰"小王子说，"你们还什么都不是呢！没有人驯服过你们，你们也没有驯服过任何人。你们很美，但你们很空虚。"小王子又回到了狐狸身边，"再见了。"小王子道别。
Uncle Siu:"Goodbye. And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
萧叔叔："再见。喏，这就是我的秘密，很简单。只有用心才，能看得清实质性的东西，用眼睛是看不见的。"
Eason:"What is essential is invisible to the eye," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.
陈奕迅："实质性的东西，用眼睛是看不见的。"小王子重复着这句话，以便能把它记在心间。
Uncle Siu:"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."
萧叔叔："正因为你为你的玫瑰花费了时间，这才使你的玫瑰变得如此重要。"
Eason: "It is the time I have wasted for my rose" said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.
陈奕迅："正因为我为我的玫瑰花费了时间…"小王子又重复着，要使自己记住这些。
Uncle Siu:"Men have forgotten this truth, but you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose…"
萧叔叔："人们已经忘记了这个道理，可是你不应该忘记。你现在要对你驯服过的一切，负责到底，你要对你的玫瑰负责。"
Eason:"I am responsible for my rose," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.
陈奕迅："我要对我的玫瑰负责…"小王子又重复着，这样才能将这句话牢牢记在心底。
Uncle Siu:And that will be the end of our two very special episodes with Eason Chan.
