Crash just means to suddenly fall alseep or maybe you are so tired. You know that you're going to sleep immediately because you're exhausted and you just want to crash.

If you're driving somewhere with a group of people, maybe the people that are not driving will call short gun. It means that that person gets to sit in the front with the driver.
